It is 12.31 am Tuesday may 18th. There are many things to thank God for today. First I am grateful that there was a today. God in His awesome justice could have called me before him to answer for my life but He in his mercy did not do so, and I have another day to live and love and serve.
Work was well, I was there on time but not early like I want to be, maybe tomorrow. one of the bosses brought her 6 year old daughter to work she was a happy child and she brought a bunch of stuffed animals with her. I had a great time claiming that the animals were mine and changing their names and telling her made up life stories about each one such as the bunny was a black belt ninja and worked as a spy for the FBI and fought terrorist. Which she looked at me stone faced and flatly declared that I was wrong and the bunny was a girl and that alone settled the argument as to the identity of the bunny. I had these little conversations while doing my job as a cashier and the customers went away smiling and shaking their heads. (Maybe some were FBI or ninjas, I do work outside of Washington DC).
My son Joey is taking driving school at his high school and I was suppose to pick him up but the class got out earlier than expected so I drove there but missed him and he walked home in the rain. I felt terrible about that but he is such a gracious guy and made it out as if it was really nothing at all. I am grateful to God for his kind nature.
I still felt all beaten up by my work and longed to find a quiet corner to take a needed nap. and did fall asleep for a few minutes while my other son played video games.
Tim was with his girlfriend Kirsten all day. They were celebrating something maybe a first date or anniversary I don't know what. I am glad he has such a nice girlfriend.
Carolyn is feeling a little better than she has the last few days and was able to go out with Maddy and David to the mall. Maddy needed a blouse for something I think it may have been for band. Carolyn even felt well enough to do some house work and bake a cake. This is an answer to the many prayers our friends and family have offered for us. I thank them all. While she went out to the mall I took advantage of the quiet to prat ice the Flute. I play so badly that I can only in good conscience play when no one is around. When I play even our two evil cats flee the area.
Maddy has some huge project due to school on Wednesday she has been working on it since Sunday. It involves Greek mythology and she is making 3 posters for it. I admire how hard she works on these things but wish she didn't set such a high standard for herself, she was up until just a little while ago working on it (about midnight). The art work she has created for the posters are amazing. I wonder where she got all that talent.
I am trying to go back to the gym on a regular basis. I have not been making it regularly. Tonight I got down there and exercised for about an hour and a half. I now feel delightfully sore.
Now it is one am and time I went to bed. May the lord grant me another day to live, love, and serve.
