Wednesday, May 19

After going to bed at 2;15 am it was a foggy first half of the day for me. I went to bed at 2:15 because Maddy had a huge monsteious project to do by today. Timothy and I and Maddy were all working on it. There were three posters required to illustrate ancient greek deities doing some modern job the way they would have done it in the power of a Greek God. (Why don't these teachers teach the kids how to write an essay anymore?) I was very proud of Maddy's conceptes and very proud of Tim chipping in and helping out. Our kids are truly a blessing.

So, Maddy was sniffuling last night and woke up with a full blown head cold. Being a real trooper she went to school, with the monsterous project under her arm.

Carolyn made some of her great coffee and I drank about half a pot while reading my bible.

It was my day off and that is a good thing because as I said my head was foggy. Carolyn had a treatment for the cancer today. It is a hormone approach this week. When we got there the nurse who is so sweet came up and apologized that she wasn't going to be our nurse today since a new patient needed her. We were very disappointed because she is a very kind and gentle nurse who is wonderful with the I.V. drip. But after about seven or eight minutes she came back and said the patient didn't come so we were relieved to have her care for Carolyn. It might sound silly but it was a big thing to us. I feel God was reminding us of His watchful care though this nice lady.

While Carolyn was getting the I.V. drip my cell phone went off. It seems after nagging Tim to go out and do some job hunting we left without giving him any keys to the car. We were not far away so I zoomed home and gave him the keys and he followed me to the gas station where we filled up the old 87 Reliant. When I got back to the clinic she was walking out the door.

I was so tired that when I got home I took a very long and deep nap. I would have liked to continued my slumbers but the day was sliding away.

Tim picked up a few applications and droped off his resume to a few places at both ends of town and in the neighboring city. I was releived that he was home. Even though he is 20 and adult I get anxious when he goes out on his own.

Carolyn had to play piano for the kids at the school where she teaches. She should get a medal for doing so much during this time. I hope and pray she had a good time and was able to visit with some of her friends.

Maddy came home and asked if we could go to the french bakery. It is one of our favorite hang outs. I told her we had no money for that sort of thing but if she wanted to spend some of her own money I would drive there. Carolyn was still at the performance at the school so she was not in on this little adventure. I asked Tim and Dave if they wanted to go. So we four went. I suggested that if any one had any extra cash they might get Mom a pastry. I was very proud of David our autistic son, he spent his own money and bought his mom two french cupcakes with a mount Everest amount of frosting.

It is nice that Tim is driving now he picked up Joey from driving school at 5:00.

Leftovers for dinner- better than my cooking!

Joey went to his guitar lesson with Mr Mott. Mr. Mott is suppose to give Joe a half hour lesson but it seems like they work for about 45 minutes. Thank the Lord for that because Guitar lessons are not cheep, Joe is doing very well on the guitar.

Maddy had a Clarinet performance. I wondered if she was going to make it. It was at 7:00 and she was so tired. But the show must go on and she went. Then she came home and went to bed at about 8:15. She has not gone to bed that early since she was in diapers.

Now it is time for me to go to bed.
