Part of being thankful is remembering what you value. Sometimes being thankful takes something small and raises it to something grand.
When your kids go off to college you worry about a lot of little things. One of my fears is that my son will drift without friendships or turn his back on God's love. This weekend he was home and came to church with us. During a conversation he mentioned that he was attending a weekly Bible service at a Methodist- Lutheran church. He spoke openly about it. I had been praying that he would connect with a faith community. I am thankful that God is working in his life even though I did not know about it before.
