Six Reasons We Are Not Thankful

We know it is a good thing to be a thankful person, but we just don't seem to get around to taking a few moments to give thanks to The Father for the many blessings he has given to us.

We give many reasons to not be thankful...
     * We just hurry from chore to task.
     * We have too many things to do.
     * We are faced with the urgent situations.
     * We are out of the practice.
     * We don't see that we have anything to be thankful for.
     * We don't think it is important.

None of these excuses stand up. Thankfulness is important, it is right and we should be thankful.

We think we are too busy to be thankful but the fact that you have something to do is something to be thankful for. Whatever it is God has entrusted it to you to do.

We have too many things to do is not an excuse to be thankful- it is a reason to be thankful.

An urgent situation is just a test and God must think you can pass it or else he would not give it to you. You should be thankful that He is watching and He cares.

That we do not practice thankfulness is a sad thing. We must be thankful to be healthy and to be happy.

We have many things to be thankful for; life, love, food, breath, friends, the sunshine, an able mind, to be alive and the list would go on forever.

It is important. God commands it and it is right.

Thankfulness prepares us for more blessings and shows us more of the blessings we already have. Don't let an excuse rob you of blessing. Be thankful; make a list, keep a journal or establish a daily time to reflect and give thanks to the Almighty.
